I am every excited to announce that Smith Environmental is the proud representative of Tomorrow Water. In fact, Smith Environmental is the first municipal representative of Tomorrow Water in the US.
This new addition to our line card is indicative of the direction Smith Environmental is going. We are focusing on technologies relatively new to the US market. I call them “Leading Edge Technologies.” They are technologies that were developed to address challenges in other countries around the globe that are now challenges that treatment plants in the US are facing. Resource recovery, energy and process efficiency, adding treatment capacity to existing plants are just some of the challenges these companies are addressing.
I believe the Leaders Innovation Forum for Technology program, know as LIFT, an initiative undertaken by the Water Research Foundation (WRF) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF) to help bring new water technology to the field quickly and efficiently, states it best:
The drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater markets will require significant investment in the coming years to replace aging infrastructure, expand capacity, and satisfy new regulations. Utilities need innovative technologies and solutions to address these challenges in a cost-conscious manner.
